About ESCD
Economic Security Center of Dubai (ESCD) was established according to Law no. 4 of 2016 amended by Law No. 9 of 2019 (PDF, 250 KB) to augment the legislations of economic security, and to counter corruption and economic crimes. The law decrees ESCD as an independent public entity, with appropriate jurisdiction that enables it to execute its mission in collaboration with other relevant entities.
ESCD works to maintain Dubai’s position as a global financial and economic hub, support the emirate’s financial stability, protect its economy, safeguard its investments from crimes, ensure the implementation of international best practices and enhance the confidence of investors and financial institutions operating in Dubai.
