ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23) was held from 20 November to 15 December 2023. WRC-23 was hosted by the UAE, represented by Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
WRC-23 brought national government authorities and telecommunication regulatory entities, together with representatives of key radiocommunications users and providers, for crucial policy and technical regulatory discussions at the global level.
World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is usually held every three to four years to review, and, if necessary, revise the Radio Regulations, the international treaty governing the use of the radio-frequency spectrum and the geostationary-satellite and non-geostationary-satellite orbits.
International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) 20th Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18) was held in Dubai from 29 October to 16 November 2018 and was attended by more than 2,300 participants from 180 countries.
