Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher was launched in 2017. It highlights the work of talented and distinguished teachers in their schools and regions. For its fourth edition, the award will be open to foreign and non-Arab speaking teachers working in private and international schools.
The Best GCC Teacher Award was created in 2017 aiming to recognise GCC’s distinguished teachers. It will serve as a catalyst for teachers to give their best and encourage them to improve their performance and productivity. Six teachers from the GCC would be given this award. The total value of the award is AED 6 million.
The ‘Bullying Prevention in Schools’ Award aims to enhance a safe environment at school for children. It also aims to encourage the academic community to provide creative initiatives and ideas to prevent bullying and provide a fair competitive environment.
The Emirates Award for Educational Excellence was launched in 2013 with an aim to fulfil the strategic goals of Ministry of Education for 2015-2021. It seeks to enhance the quality of education and harness innovation and creativity in the development of education. The award comprises 27 categories; some of them are ‘Exceptional family’, ‘Exceptional student’, ‘Exceptional private school’.
The Khalifa Award for Education was established in 2007 aiming to advance the standards of national and regional education sector, by honouring and recognising the distinguished efforts and creativity of educators. The award recognises both: UAE nationals and residents who have proved themselves in the fields of regular and special education.
In 2014, the Ras Al Khaimah Award for Educational Excellence was established to promote a culture of excellence and innovation in the educational sector, by enabling educational institutions to apply international standards of excellence and motivating teachers, students and all stakeholders involved in the educational process in Ras Al Khaimah.
