National Policy on Biofuels
The National Policy on Biofuels aims to:
- develop regulations and controls to oversee the distribution of biofuels
- establish standards governing the production and utilisation of biofuels, and
- implement criteria and mandates for biofuel production in the country.
The policy also aims to:
- organise biofuel trading activities in the country
- establish standardised specifications for biofuel
- manage its production and trading
- contribute to environmental protection and public health.
