Child Protection Policy – Abu Dhabi
The Child Protection Policy of Abu Dhabi aims to safeguard children by assisting families in creating a positive environment for raising children. It also supports families and caregivers by enabling them to create a safe and nurturing environment for children within a healthy and nurturing social setting that ensures a stable upbringing, with a focus on the child’s best interests.
The policy emphasises on fairness, non-discrimination and the enhancement of rapid response capabilities to address cases of child abuse or negligence.
It focuses on developing educational programmes to raise awareness among families and parents regarding the physical, psychological and social challenges and risks, that children may face.
The Child Protection Policy was developed by Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, in collaboration with various entities dedicated to the wellbeing of children.
