The ‘National Program for Coders’ aims to foster the growth of the UAE’s digital economy by designing a number of national initiatives for developing talents, expertise and innovative projects in coding.
Launched in collaboration with several technology companies, it seeks to:
- attract and train 100,000 coders
- establish 1,000 digital companies within 5 years
- increase investment in start-ups from AED 1.5 billion to AED 4 billion.
Pillars
The programme focuses on the following pillars:
- supporting coders, entrepreneurs, start-ups, large companies and the academic sector
- developing a comprehensive platform for promoting engagement and linkages between coders and local companies and universities
- launching global initiatives featuring international trainers aimed at enhancing the efficiency of local talent
- attracting the best international coding professionals to the UAE
- recommending policies to foster the development of the coding sector in cooperation with various government entities.
The programme will grant Golden visas to 100,000 of the world’s best coders. It will provide a range of financing options to entrepreneurs and coders and support the implementation of their innovative projects and ideas.
The ‘National Program for Coders’ is managed by Artificial Intelligence Office.
