The Fourth Industrial Revolution Program, which is known as the ‘UAE Industry 4.0’ aims to accelerate the integration of 4IR solutions and applications across the UAE’s industrial sector and increase its productivity by 30 per cent.
It seeks to enhance the overall industrial competitiveness of the UAE by reducing expenses, increasing productivity and efficiency, enhancing quality and safety and generating employment opportunities.
4th Industrial Revolution Readiness Index
Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) uses the 4th Industrial Revolution Readiness Index to assess the level of implementation of technology among industrial facilities.
The index assesses the digital maturity of the processes, technologies and the organisation of the facility, enabling the identification of areas that require improvement and digital transformation strategies that need development.
The index is recognised by World Economic Forum as a global standard for unifying 4IR concepts.
Companies can register to have their manufacturing facilities assessed by the 4th Industrial Revolution Index.
