Strategic plan for justice-2026 aims to achieve an ambitious future focused on innovation, happiness and digitisation. This plan aligns with the strategic objectives of the UAE Government and its UAE Centennial Plan 2071.
Key objectives
The plan aims to:
- contribute to the preparation and development of flexible, proactive and competitive
legislations and laws
- provide legal support to the federal and local government entities
- enhance the speed, efficiency and transparency of the specialised judicial system based on international best practices and modern technology. This will ensure effective law enforcement and build community trust.
- improve the speed, efficiency and transparency of the penal system by leveraging modern technologies and anticipating future needs. This is crucial for upholding the rule of law and safeguarding individuals' rights.
- establish an efficient and effective regulatory environment for the federal judiciary, federal public prosecution and the legal professions.
Strategic goals
The strategic goals include the development of:
- judicial and reconciliation systems that are advanced, specialised, diverse, proactive and can adapt to evolving circumstances
- penal systems that are advanced and aligned with the pursuit of justice
- electronic systems that expedite the legislative cycle, ensuring that they remain in pace with technological advancements
- specialised and highly-skilled national competencies in the judiciary and legal professions.
